1987年、マーティンロックによって起こされたソーラータックル社はオリジナルカープフィッシングタックルを配信する歴史ある企業ですマーティンは1980年代、金属技師として働き、釣りに行けるのは平日のみ、ランチブレーク時、ステンレス製のカープフィッシングタックルを自作、すぐにその評判が同じカープフィッシングマニアの友人達に広まり、いくつもの製品を作って欲しいとのリクエストが殺到、とてもランチブレークの片手間で製作可能な数量を超えました
マーティンによればまるで小さなドングリが発芽し、巨大な樹に育つがのごとく、ソーラータックル社はこの30年プラスの間にアングラーから熱狂的に愛される画期的な製品を打ち出してきました、「グローブトロッター」「ソッド」「ワールドワイドポッド」、定評のあるバズバー、バンクスティック、オリジナル「モンキークライマー」「ボウロックランディングネット」から最新のP1 ステンレスチタニウム、アドバンスドリグレンジまで
